  본 발명은 (R,R)-1,2-다이페닐에틸렌다이아민(DPEN) 기반의 티오우레아 촉매 화합물을 이용한 키랄 카르보닐 유도체의 제조방법 등에 관한 것으로서, 상기 제조방법에 따르면 고리형 무수물과 티올(-SH) 또는 아민(NH2)의 비대칭 고리열림반응, 즉 황 분해반응(thiolysis) 또는 질소 분해반응(aminolysis)를 통해 높은 거울상선택성을 가진 키랄 카르보닐 유도체를 우수한 수율로 제조할 수 있다.

  Various cyclic meso-imides have been desymmetrised via enantioselective reduction using two chiral oxazaborolidine catalysts derived from (1R,2S)-cis-1-amino-indan-2-ol followed by the reduction of the hydroxylactarn product to give the gamma-lactam. The enantiomeric excesses were shown to be 27-99% by chiral HPLC and chiral GC of the gamma-lactam products with the nitrogen substituent playing a pivotal role in determining yield and selectivity.
