The reaction of 2 mol equiv. of [Mo(NO)HB(dmpz)3}X2] ((HBdmpz)3 = tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate; X = Cl or I) with Schiff base ligands derived by condensation of 2 mol equiv. of para- and meta-hydroxybenzaldehyde with 1,4-C6H4(NH2)2 and 1,6-NH2(CH2)6NH2 afforded monometallic complexes [Mo(NO) H(dmpz3)} X(OC6H4 CHO)].
