  Abstract A series of phenyl Hydrogen α-(benzyloxycarbonylamino)benzyl-phosphonates are prepared from the reaction of benzyl carbamate, substituted benzaldehydes and phenoxydichlorophosphine in acetic chloride and subsequent hydrolysis. The reactions proceed smoothly in mild condition and afford the title compounds in good yields.
