  Reaction of 1,2-dihydro-4-methyl-benz(f) isoquinolines with methyl acrylate and oxalyl chloride gave the corresponding tetracyclic compounds, while with chloroacetyl chloride an enamide was obtained which could not be cyclised thermally.

  1，2-二氢-4-甲基-苯并（f）异喹啉与丙烯酸甲酯和草酰氯反应，得到相应的四环化合物，而与氯乙酰氯反应，得到不能热环化的烯酰胺。
