    A polymer composition containing a specific silyl group-containing polymer, in which the maximum size of particles contained therein is 2 µm or less, and the number of particles having a size of 0.2 µm to 2 µm is 1,000 particles/ml or less. The composition may further contain a specific compound or at least one component selected from an organosilane represented by (R1)nSi(X)4-n, a hydrolyzate of the organosilane and a condensate of the organosilane. The composition is excellent in storage stability, high in hardness and excellent in mechanical strength such as wear resistance, so that a coating film having good taking-up properties even when no lubricant is contained, extremely smooth and having no difference in film thickness can be formed.

    The dielectric-forming composition according to the invention is characterized by consisting of: composite particles for dielectrics in which part or all of the surfaces of inorganic particles with permittivity of 30 or greater are coated with a conductive metal or a compound thereof, or a conductive organic compound or a conductive inorganic material; and (B) a resin component constituted of at least one of a polymerizable compound and a polymer. In addition, another dielectric-forming composition according to the invention is characterized by containing: ultrafine particle-resin composite particles composed of (J) inorganic ultrafine particles with the average particle size of 0.1 µm or smaller, and (B) a resin component constituted of at least one of a polymerizable compound and a polymer, wherein part or all of the surfaces of the inorganic ultrafine particles (J) are coated with the resin component (B), and the ultrafine particle-resin composite particles contain 20% by weight or more of the inorganic ultrafine particles (J); and inorganic particles with the average particle size of 0.1 to 2 µm and permittivity of 30 or greater, or inorganic composite particles in which a conductive metal or a compound thereof, or a conductive organic compound or a conductive inorganic material is deposited on the part or all of the surfaces of the inorganic particles.

    A radiation-curable composition containing (A) hydrolyzates of hydrolyzable silane compounds represented by general formula (1): (R1)p(R2)qSi(X)4-p-q (wherein R1 is a non-hydrolyzable organic group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms that contains fluorine atoms, R2 is a non-hydrolyzable organic group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms (but excluding ones that contain fluorine atoms), X is a hydrolyzable group, p is an integer of 1 or 2, and q is an integer of 0 or 1) and condensates of such hydrolyzates, and (B) a photoacid generator, wherein the ratio of silanol (Si-OH) groups in the composition is 0.1 to 0.5 out of all the bonding groups on Si. With such a composition, the waveguide loss is low for light having a wavelength in a broad range from the visible region to the near infrared region, and moreover the cracking resistance, the patterning ability upon irradiation with radiation, and so on are excellent.

    The present invention has its object to provide a crosslinkable silyl group-terminated vinyl polymer-containing curable composition which secures a sufficiently long pot life and, at the same time, can be cured rapidly on the occasion of need and can give cured products excellent in thermal stability, oil resistance, weathering resistance, mechanical properties and adhesiveness, among others. The present invention provides a curable composition containing (I) and (II) mentioned in the following: a vinyl polymer (I) having, on an average, at least one crosslinkable silyl group at its termini, and a photo acid generator (II). The vinyl polymer (I) according to the present invention is preferably a (meth)acrylic polymer.
