Abstract Synthesis of copper complexes with cyclopentanespiro-5-dithiohydantoin and cyclohexanespiro-5-dithiohydantoin is reported. Reaction conditions to stabilize Cu(II) oxidation state, which is known to be easily reduced by cyclic thiones, is described.
