1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3,6-trimethyl-2,5-diaza-1,5-nonadien-8-one (6); 1-(3-tert-butyl-2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)-3,3,6-trimethyl-2,5-diaza-1,5-nonadien-8-one (7)] were prepared and characterized by their UV/Vis absorption spectra, magnetic moments, and oxidation potentials.
