    A compound of the formula (I) 1 wherein R 1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, halo(lower)alkyl, cyclo(lower)alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, acyl, optionally substituted aryl or NR 3 R 4 ; R 2 is hydrogen; or aryl or heteroaryl, each of which may be substituted; X is direct bond or bivalent residue derived from piperazine; Y is -(A 1 ) n -(A 2 ) m -, wherein n and m are independently 0 or 1); 2 is bivalent residue derived from arene or heteroarene; and 3 is bivalent residue derived from arene or heteroarene, or a salt thereof. The compound of the present invention and a salt thereof inhibit apolipoprotein B (Apo B) secretion and are useful as a medicament for prophylactic and treatment of diseases or conditions resulting from elevated circulating levels of Apo B.

    A liquid curable resin composition comprising: a) a urethane (meth)acrylate, obtained by the reaction of a diol compound represented by the following formula (1), wherein R 1 s individually represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R 2 s individually represent a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or a propyl group, and m and n individually is a number from 5 to 95, provided that the toal of m and n is 20-100, a diisocyanate compound, and a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate compound; b) a polysiloxyne having a number average molecular weight of 200-100,000; and c) a monomer polymerizable with the urethane (meth)acrylate (A). To provide a liquid curable resin composition which can produce transparent cured products with smooth surface which does not adhere to other cured surfaces.

    A liquid curable resin composition containing: (A) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic compound having at least three (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule, (B) a reaction product obtained by the reacting (i) an alkoxysilane compound having a polymerizable unsaturated group, a urethane bonding group and an organic group represented by the formula (1),    and (ii) silica particles; (C) a silicone polymer; and (D) an irradiation active initiator. The composition when coated on surfaces of plastic molded articles and other materials provides for superior slip characteristics and resistance to abrasions, stains, weather, solvents and alkali environments. The compositions of the instant invention is particularly suitable as a hard coat material for plastic optical components, touch panels, film-type liquid crystal elements, molded plastic articles or as a stain-proof or scratch-proof coating for wall and flooring materials which are used as architectural interior finishings.
