  A series of lipoamino acid-based glycolipids were synthesised. Suitably derivatised lipoamino acid derivatives were prepared and conjugated to monosaccharicles (including glycosy) azides, isothiocyanates, thiols and sulphones) to yield novel O-, N-, Sand C-linked glycolipids in good yields.
