Substituted phenothiazines as lubricant stabilizers
申请人:CIBA-GEIGY AG
公开号:EP0275835A1
公开(公告)日:1988-07-27
Lubricants stabilized against oxidative degradation by the incorporation therein of N-thioalkylenephenothiazine derivatives corresponding to the formula
wherein R₁ are independently hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 24 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 5 to 7 carbon atoms or aralkyl of 7 to 9 carbon atoms;
A and Aʹ are independently alkylene of 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
n is 0 or 1; and
R₂ is alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 5 to 7 carbon atoms, said cycloalkyl substituted by alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, phenyl, phenyl substituted by alkyl, alkoxy or thioalkyl to a total carbon atom content of 7 to 30, naphthyl or naphthyl substituted by alkyl, alkoxy or thioalkyl to a total carbon atom content of 11 to 40, as well as certain phenothiazines within the indicated group.
A working fluid composition comprising:
(A) a heat transfer fluid comprising a mixture of at least two compounds selected from the group consisting of hydrofluoroalkanes and fluoroalkanes; and
(B) sufficient to provide lubrication of a lubricant which is at least partially soluble in each component of the heat transfer fluid.
Use of surfactants in processing abrasive pigments

公开(公告)日:1993-12-15
A simple inexpensive means to decrease the abrasivity of abrasive pigments such as calcined kaolin and titania in which a trace of nonionic and/or anionic surfactant is incorporated with abrasive pigment prior to or during the preparation of an aqueous pigment slurry or with dry pigment.
Esters and mixtures of esters of polyhydric alcohols, e.g., of pentaerythritol, in which at least 22 number percent of the acyl groups in the esters are either branched or contain no more than six carbon atoms, are effective lubricants and/or lubricant base stocks for chlorine-free fluorocarbon refrigerant heat transfer fluids, particularly for chlorine-free heat transfer fluids such as Refrigerant 134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane).
