  AbstractDie Darstellung von neuen Vinylestern aromatischer und heterocyclischer Carbonsäuren nach bekannten Methoden wird beschrieben. Im Gegensatz zu den Literaturangaben wurde gefunden, daß auch Divinylestern aus Dicarbonsäuren durch direkte Vinylierung mit Acetylen darstellbar sind.

  Compositions are disclosed which are useful in coating and ink applications. Such compositions comprise a copolymer of at least one vinyl ester monomer and at least one vinyl functional acid-containing monomer in which the vinyl group is separated by at least two atoms from the acid group, the copolymer more preferably having a number average molecular weight of less than 10,000 and being substantially water soluble in the neutralized state. A particularly useful vinyl functional, carboxylic acid-containing monomer is mono vinyl adipate.
