  A Pulse-Mode Product-Yield-Detected ESR Study on the Dynamics of Radical Pair Production in the Photoreaction of Anthraquinone in SDS Micellar Solution

  摘要：

  Three pulse sequences were employed for laser and microwave irradiation in the pulse-mode product-yield-detected ESR (PYESR) method to observe the dynamics of the transient radical pair produced in the photoreaction of anthraquinone in SDS micelle. PYESR is a technique to detect the ESR indirectly from the yield of a final product of a reaction, e.g., a spin adduct. The decrease in spin adduct yield plotted as a function of delay time for each pulse sequence showed a transient response of the radical pair. Simulation of these curves was made by integrating a set of differential equations for a detailed kinetic model using the Runge-Kutta method and yielded kinetic parameters such as the rates of generation, escape, and recombination of the radical pair. The effect of ethanol and sodium chloride added to the micellar solution on the radical pair dynamics was also examined.
