  [3.1.1]Trisilapropellane 1 which represents the first [n.1.1]silapropellanes was synthesized by treatment of the dilithiated compound 3 with dichlorohexamethyltrisilane. The propellane 1 was thermally stable, while it was labile to acidic contamination and slowly oxidized by air.
