    The oxidation of cyclooctane using tert-alkyl hydroperoxides under GoAggV conditions has been examined using selected alkyl hydroperoxides as mechanistic probes. The results indicate that the products are formed by alkoxyl radical-induced reactions, there being no need to invoke any chemistry involving high valent iron-oxo species.

    Fine polymer particles are dispersed as primary particles in a vinyl monomer to provide a high quality composition in which the dispersed state and stability of the particles are regulated to a high degree and to provide a curable composition being excellent in handleability and using fine polymer particles as a toughness-imparting agent. For the above, the curable composition of the present invention comprises 100 parts by weight of a vinyl monomer (A) and 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of fine polymer particles (B) having a volume average particle size of 0.05 to 1 m, in which the fine polymer particles (B) are dispersed in the form of primary particles in the vinyl monomer (A).

    A curable resin composition comprising, (a) at least one of partially acrylated and methacrylated epoxy resins; (b) a sensitizer which can initiate at least one of acryloyl group or methacryloyl group by photoirradiation; and (c) a curing catalyst comprising an organic metal compound and an organic silicon compound. The curable resin composition of this invention can be cured by photoirradiation and heating, and the cured product obtained has excellent electrical characteristics, adhesiveness, humidity resistance and solder heat resistance, and therefore it can be expected to be useful for electrical insulating materials, paints, materials for solder resist, etc.

    A solder resist ink composition is disclosed which contains a photo-curable resin (A2) obtained by causing an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid to react with a cresolnovolak- or phenolnovolak-type epoxy resin, and causing a polybasic carboxylic anhydride to react with the resultant reaction product, a photo-curable resin (B2) obtained by causing an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid to react with a bisphenol A novolak- or cycloaliphatic oxirane novolak-type epoxy resin, and causing a polybasic carboxylic anhydride to react with the resultant reaction product, at least one photo-polymerizable compound (C) selected from photo-polymerizable monomers, a photo-polymerization initiator, an organic solvent, and an inorganic filler. Also disclosed are two other solder resist ink compositions each having a different photo-curable component.
