Abstract A convenient synthetic route is reported for the preparation of aroyl substituted triazinones and triazinono-xathiazinedioxides by the interaction of chlorosulfonylisocyanate and phenylhydrazones (derived from acetylacetone, 1-benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane).
