A series of novel arylgermanium hydrides ArnGeH4–n (n = 1–3) and diaryl(chloro)germanium hydrides Ar2Ge(Cl)H were synthesized and characterized. Systematic preparation and purification were achieved via the lithium chloride–triflic acid and the optimized Grignard route.
