  2,6-Difluoroaniline and several related primary amines are oxidised by peroxybenzoic acid in chloroform to the corresponding nitroso-compounds. Treatment of 2,6-difluoroaniline with sodium azide gives 4-fluoro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole, which on nitration gives the 7-nitro-derivative.
