The reaction of Ti(NEt(2))(4) with 10 equiv of PhCH(2)SH in toluene resulted in the formation of the ionic complex [NEt(2)H(2)] [Ti(2)(mu-SCH(2)Ph)(3)(SCH(2)Ph)(6)]. The X-ray structure of the complex has been determined. The coordination number at each titanium center is 6, and the geometry is approximately octahedral.
