    Magnesium complexes of highly soluble meso-phenyl-substituted tetrabenzoazaporphins were prepared from 1,3-diiminoisoindoline and phenylacetic acid in the presence of magnesium oxide. Some physicochemical and spectral properties of the compounds were investigated.
