Compounds (l-V), (VII), (IX-XIII), and (XVIII) (see Table i), were isolated as monohydrates; they are crystalline substances ranging in color from colorless to orange, and, with the exception of VIII and XVII, which are water-soluble, they are soluble with difficulty in water and common organic solvents.
