    1-甲氧基萘与1-甲酰基萘在n-BuLi / TMEDA存在下反应,然后脱氧和脱甲基,得到bisnaphthol 6。用KOBr氧化6得到螺萘醌4a-b和5a-b。螺萘醌3a-c与NH 2 OH.HCl反应,得到萘[2,1-c]异恶唑衍生物9a-c。4a-b的类似反应给出了吡咯烷酮11a-b,螺萘醌5a-b给出了萘[1,2-c]异恶唑衍生物12a-b。

    A multifunctional naphthol-based epoxy resin composition which is a reaction product of a) a naphthol which is a reaction product of i) from 1 to 99 weight percent 1-naphthol and ii) from 1 to 99 weight percent 2-naphthol; and b) an epihalohydrin, is disclosed. Also disclosed is a curable composition comprising: a) an epoxy component comprising the multifunctional naphthol-based epoxy resin composition; and b) a hardener component comprising i) a phenolic resin component selected from the group consisting of phenol novolac resins, triphenolalkane phenolic resins, aralkyl phenolic resins, biphenyl phenolic resin, biphenyl aralkyl phenolic resins, substituted naphthalene phenolic resins unsubstituted naphthalene phenolic resins, and combinations thereof; and ii) a phosphorus-containing composition which is the reaction product of an etherified resole with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO). The curable composition can be used to prepare prepregs, electrical laminates, printed circuit boards, and printed wiring boards.

    A curable composition comprising, consisting of, or consisting essentially of a) an epoxy component comprising a dinaphthalene epoxy having the structure (X) wherein each R1 group is independently a C1-C20 hydrocarbon; a is an integer in the range of from 0 to 6; m is an integer in the range of 0 to 5; and b) a hardener component comprising i) a naphthol novolac which is a reaction product of I) from 1 to 99 weight percent 1-naphthol and II) from 1 to 99 weight percent 2-naphthol; ii) a phosphorus-containing composition which is the reaction product of an etherified resole with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide; and iii) optionally a phenolic resin selected from the group consisting of a molecule having at least one substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring, a high functionality phenolic resin, and combinations thereof, is disclosed. The curable composition can be used to prepare prepregs and electrical laminates.
