The decarboxylation of isatoicanhydrides with disulfides was realized in the presence of sodium dithionite, leading to S-aryl 2-aminobenzothioate derivatives in moderate to excellent yields. Furthermore, the decarboxylation of diphenyldiselenide with isatoicanhydrides was also examined. Cesium carbonate-promoted synthesis of diverse 2-aminoarylthioatesviaring opening of 3-chlorooxindoles with thiols, and their synthetic applications is demonstrated.
