The reaction of dihydroquercetin monosuccinate with ammonia, a series of alkylamines, and amino-derivatives of heterocyclic compounds including nitroxyl radicals and alkaloids produced the corresponding ionic conjugates, the water solubility of which was 1–2 orders of magnitude greater than that of dihydroquercetin with retention of the high antioxidant activity.

Five new ionic conjugates based on α-tocopheryl succinate were synthesized, including amino- TEMPO, cytisine, convolvin, amantadine, and rimantadine as functional groups. Using bacterial test systems, the safety of the compounds obtained was shown, and antioxidant properties were studied. Investigation of the cytotoxic properties of synthesized conjugates with a chromane skeleton revealed their selectivity
