  Compounds are prepared which correspond to the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen, chloro, bromo or trifluoromethyl; n represents an integer of from 1 or 2 with the proviso that when R is trifluoromethyl, n is 1; R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently represent ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl, isobutyl, ethynyl, vinyl or ethoxymethyl or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 taken together form an alkylene bridge of 2 to 4 carbon atoms and X represents a non-phytotoxic anion. The compounds have been found to be active plant growth regulatory control agents.
