A series of di-, tri-, tetra-, and pentaamines were synthesized as precursors for corresponding di-, tri-, tetra-, and penta(aminium radical-cations) by the aryl-N bond formation reaction between aryl iodides and in situ prepared copper amide in refluxing pyridine. Cyclic voltammograms of meta-connected derivatives consisted of irreversible waves which imply side reactions in addition to oxidation
The facile and scalable method enabled synthesis of CzDABNAs, exhibiting narrowband thermallyactivateddelayedfluorescence with emission spectra ranging from deepblue to green. The organiclight‐emittingdiode devices employing these products as emitters exhibited deep‐blue, sky‐blue, and green emission with high external quantum efficiencies of 19.5, 21.8, and 26.7 %, respectively.
A periphery cladding strategy to improve the performance of narrowband emitters, achieving deep-blue OLEDs with CIEy < 0.08 and external quantum efficiency approaching 20%
