synthesis of imines from amines and aliphatic alcohols over Au–Pd alloy catalystsunder ambient conditions was developed. A series of Au–Pd/ZrO2 bimetallic catalysts with varying metal loadings and Au : Pd molar ratios were prepared and their catalytic performance was investigated. The 3.0 wt % Au–Pd/ZrO2 alloy catalyst with Au : Pd molar ratio of 1 : 1 showed the best catalytic performance. Under air atmosphere
Synthesis of imines fromamines and aliphatic alcohols (C1–C6) in the presence of base on supported palladium nanoparticles has been achieved for the first time. The catalytic system shows high activity and selectivity in open air at room temperature.

Reaction of 7-, 8- and 9-memberedcyclic allylic compounds 2 with (η2-propene)Ti(O-i-Pr)2 (1) via an oxidative addition pathway provides the corresponding allylic titanium compounds, which, in turn, react with aldehydes and imines stereoselectively, thus providing an efficient and stereoselective method for synthesizing cycloalkenes having a side chain at the allylic position.

A general method for the trifluoromethylation of imines by using Me3SiCF3 under acidic conditions is described. The reaction is promoted by hydrofluoric acid generated in situ from KHF2 and either TFA or TfOH. A new chemoselectivity pattern was achieved, as the C=N bond was found to be more reactivate than the carbonyl group. The trifluoromethylation reaction is believed to proceed by concerted transfer
