Synthesis of carbonylated heteroaromatic compounds via visible-light-driven intramolecular decarboxylative cyclization of o-alkynylated carboxylic acids
An efficient strategy for the easy access to carbonylated heteroaromatic compounds has been developed via a visible-light-promoted intramolecular decarboxylative cyclization reaction of o-alkynylated carboxylic acids. This method is characterized by its benign conditions and the tolerance to a wide range of functionalities.
The present invention relates to compound of formula (I), or stereoisomers and pharmaceutically acceptable salts as muscarinic M1 receptor positive allosteric modulators. This invention also relates to methods of preparing such compounds and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds. The compounds of this invention are useful in the treatment of various disorders that are related to muscarinic M1 receptor.

A visible-light-promoted S–H insertion reaction betweenthiols and α-diazoesters was developed. The reaction proceeded smoothly at room temperature with a broad substrate scope, affording various thioethers in moderate to excellent yields. The catalyst- and additive-free nature, sustainable energy source and mild reaction conditions make this strategy more eco-friendly.
