In the presence of a catalytic amount of Ph3PAuNO3 and H2SO4, the hydroalkoxylation of allenes with alcohols has been shown to proceed smoothly and give allylic ethers in good yields and high regio- and stereoselectivity.

A co-catalyst of (PPh3)AuCl/AgOTf for the intermolecularhydroamination of allenes with sulfonamides is shown. The reaction proceeded smoothly under mild conditions for differently substituted allenes giving N-allylic sulfonamides in good yields with high regioselectivity and E-selectivity.

Copper‐catalyzed silylation of aryl allenes using a silylborane reagent affords vinyl silane building blocks with high efficiency. The use of a seven‐membered NHC ligand proved crucial for high regioselectivity. The catalytically generated allylcoppper intermediates were intercepted by aldehydes in a diastereoselective three‐component coupling to furnish homoallylic alcohols.

hydrosilylation can be intercepted by an intramolecular electrophilic aromatic substitution or a Nazarov electrocyclization of an allyl-cation intermediate in the form of its endo isomer. By this, the selective formation of either the conventional 1,2-hydrosilylation product (vinylsilane) or a cyclized product (silylated indane) can be controlled.

Copper-catalyzed coupling of readily available ketiminoesters, allenes, and a diboron affords densely functionalized quaternary α-amino esters bearing adjacent stereocenters and versatile vinyl boronate motifs. The method utilizes a commerciallyavailable copper(I) catalyst, operates at ambient temperature, and features a catalytic allyl cupration of ketiminoesters.
