THE REACTION IS OXYGEN-DEPENDENT & SUBJECT TO GENERAL ACID & GENERAL BASE CATALYSIS. AT PH OF APPROX 5.8 IN CACODYLATE BUFFER, IT IS CONVERTED TO P-NITROSOPHENOL IN ADDN TO NITROSOBENZENE, NITROBENZENE, & AZOXYBENZENE.
