    The reaction between alkyl nitrites, particularly n-butyl nitrite, and tertiary aromatic amines under a variety of experimental conditions promptly yielded products of N-dealkylation-N-nitrosation, ring nitration, ipso-substitution and, occasionally, combinations of these processes. Aminoethers were detected as final products and intermediates on the way to N-nitrosations. Reaction pathways are suggested

    A composition of matter is disclosed that comprises a compound of the formula AnR, wherein: A is (I), R1 is hydrocarbyl; m is 0 or 1; n is 1, 2 or 3; R is selected from the group consisting of: mono-, di-, and trivalent groups; mono-, di-, and trivalent aromatic groups; five- and six-membered heterocyclic rings comprising a carbon atoms bonded to A, at least one nitrogen atom, and, optionally, at least one sulfur atom; and (II), wherein R2 and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and hydrocarbyl. These compounds are useful as coupling agents in filled elastomer compositions.

    A composition of matter is disclosed that comprises a compound of the formula A n R, wherein: A is 1 R 1 is hydrocarbyl; m is 0 or 1; n is 1, 2, or 3; R is selected from the group consisting of: mono-, di-, and trivalent aliphatic groups; mono-, di-, and trivalent aromatic groups; five- and six-membered heterocyclic rings comprising n carbon atoms bonded to A, at least one nitrogen atom, and, optionally, at least one sulfur atom; and 2 wherein R 2 and R 3 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and hydrocarbyl.     An object of the present invention is to provide a material used for producing a sheet for sealing a solar cell which is excellent in mechanical strength, solar cell sealing property and transparency if the material is not cross-linked. The thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention for sealing a solar cell is characterized by comprising: (A) 0 to 70 parts by weight of a propylene-based polymer having a melting point of 100° C. or higher and (B) 30 to 100 parts by weight of a propylene-based copolymer satisfying the following requisite (b); (b): MFR (230° C., load: 2.16 kg) falls in a range of 0.01 to 100 g/10 minutes, and at least one of the following requisites (b-1) and (b-2) is satisfied; (b-1): an rr fraction is 60% or more and (b-2): a structural unit derived from propylene is contained in an amount of 55 to 90 mole %, and a structural unit derived from α-olefin having 2 to 20 carbon atoms (excluding propylene) is contained in an amount of 10 to 45 mole %; and an intrinsic viscosity [η] (dL/g) measured in decalin at 135° C. and MFR described above satisfy a specific relational equation.

    The thermoplastic resin composition (Xi) of the present invention comprises (A1), (B1), (C1), and optionally (D1) below: 1 to 90 wt % of an isotactic polypropylene (A1); 9 to 98 wt % of a propylene/ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (B1) containing 45 to 89 mol% of propylene-derived structural units, 10 to 25 molt of ethylene-derived structural units, and optionally, 0 to 30 mol% of C 4 -C 20 α-olefin-derived structural units (a1); 1 to 80 wt % of a styrene-based elastomer (C1); and 0 to 70 wt % of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (D1) whose density is in the range of 0.850 to 0.910 g/cm 3 , wherein (A1)+(B1)+(C1)+(D1)=100 wt %.
