    A process for producing an emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises (co)polymerizing a main monomer in the presence of a protective colloid, the protective colloid being an acrylic copolymer comprising (A-1) at least one hydrophilic monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylamide, methacrylamide, hydroxyethyl acrylate and hydroxyethyl methacrylate and (B-1) an alkyl (meth)acrylate that is copolymerizable with the hydrophilic monomer (A-1) and whose alkyl group has 4 to 18 carbon atoms, or (A-2) a hydrophilic monomer being acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid and (B-2) an alkyl (meth)acrylate that is copolymerizable with the hydrophilic monomer (A-2) and whose alkyl group has 4 to 9 carbon atoms; the hydrophilic monomer and the alkyl (meth)acrylate being copolymerized in a weight ratio in the range of 40-70:60-30; the acrylic copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 500 to 50000. The acrylic copolymer for forming the protective colloid may be copolymerized with a third monomer (C) being acrylonitrile and/or styrene according to need. An emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive obtained as above exhibits particularly high adhesive property to wetting surfaces.

The carbamate ester compound is used as a vulcanizing agent for carboxyl group-containing acrylic rubber and improves the delay of the vulcanization rate by scorch suppression.

    A fluorine containing polymer which acts as a wetting, flow or leveling agent, and has at least one polar group. The polymer has at least one pendant or ether side chain containing from about 1 to about 20 carbon atoms with at least 25% of the hydrogen atoms being replaced by fluorine atoms. The fluorinated polymers unexpectedly impart wetting, flow or leveling properties to a variety of coatings while producing little foam.

    The 5-methylene-1,3-dioxolan-4-one derivative of the present invention is represented by the formula (1) indicated below, and it is a novel monomer from which a homopolymer and a copolymer excellent in light transparency and heat stability are obtained.     A method of synthesizing a hyperbranched polymer by living radical polymerization of a monomer in the presence of a metal catalyst includes at least adding a compound or setting the amount of the monomer in the living radical polymerization. The compound added is at least a compound represented by R 1 -A or a compound represented by R 2 —B—R 3 , where R 1 denotes hydrogen, an alkyl group (1-10 carbons), aryl group (1-10 carbons), or aralkyl group (7-10 carbons), A denotes a cyano group, hydroxyl group, or nitro group, R 2 and R 3 denote hydrogen, alkyl groups (1-10 carbons), aryl groups (6-10 carbons), aralkyl groups (7-10 carbons), or dialkylamino groups (2-10 carbons), and B denotes a carbonyl group or sulfonyl group. Setting of the monomer amount includes setting the amount of monomer to be mixed into a reaction system at one mixing to be less than the total monomer to be mixed with the reaction system.
