制备方法与用途

化学性质

深藏青色粉末易溶于水，水溶液呈紫色，加入氢氧化钠溶液后变为浅暗紫色。该化合物亦易溶于乙醇，呈现紫蓝色，在浓硫酸中显现出红光黄色，稀释后则为浅绿色；而在浓硝酸中，则呈现出蓝光果绿色。

用途

酸性紫 4BNS 可用于羊毛和蚕丝的染色，适用于羊毛、蚕丝、锦纶及黏胶织物的直接印花。此外，它还能够为皮革、纸张、电化铝、肥皂、墨水和食品着色，并可制成颜料。

生产方法

生产酸性紫 4BNS 的原料包括1-(N-乙基苯胺)间甲苯磺酸、甲醛及 N,N-二乙基苯胺。首先将1-(N-乙基苯胺)间甲苯磺酸与甲醛进行缩合，随后氧化反应；之后再与 N,N-二乙基苯胺进行缩合，并再次进行氧化，最终转化为钠盐。另一种生产方法是将 1-(N-乙基苯胺)间甲苯磺酸与甲醛的缩合产物在 N,N-二乙基苯胺的存在下使用重铬酸钠进行一步氧化。

具体步骤如下：首先调整1-(N-乙基苯胺)间甲苯磺酸溶液至pH值为3，加入36%甲醛溶液，在97-98℃条件下保温反应3-6小时。之后用蒸汽蒸出过量的甲醛，并将温度降至50-60℃。接着在缩合液中加入30%重铬酸钠溶液并搅拌，随后加入N,N-二乙基苯胺，分别于常温、50℃、75℃下搅拌6-12小时。最后进行过滤，滤液通过盐析后，将滤饼于70-80℃烘干（约24-48小时），确保水分含量低于5%，从而制得染料成品。

值得注意的是，在第二次缩合时加入一定量的N,N-二甲基苯胺有助于调节染料色光并获得标准的商品染料。此外，N,N-二乙基苯胺与N,N-二甲基苯胺的质量比为1:4.2；或者在商品化阶段可添加适量弱酸性艳红B来调整色光。
