  A cleansing composition comprising (A) anionic surfactants, (B) at least one amphoteric surfactant, and (C) at least one nonionic surfactant is provided. The (A) anionic surfactants comprise (i) at least one acyl glutamic acid or its salt, (ii) at least one alkyl ether carboxylic acid or its salt, and (iii) at least one alkyl sulfosuccinic acid or its salt. The cleansing composition has excellent foam-forming properties and exhibits good cleansing properties and allows no or reduced irritation to the scalp.
