the periodate complex anion of Ag(III) are studied with Pt microelectrodes in basic solutions. It is found that the electroreduction proceeds through two electrochemical steps, ie, Ag(III)→Ag(I)→Ag. Some electrode parameters are calculated for the first step from experimental data by simplex method. The final product is silver deposited at the electrode surface.
