  Disclosed are selected 2-trichloromethyl-4-pyrimidinyl carbamates having the formula: wherein X is an atom selected from the group consisting of oxygen and sulfur; R is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenyl group or R2 is -(CH2)n-, where n is 4 or 5; R1 is hydrogen, a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halo or nitro; and R2 is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halo alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. These compounds are disclosed to be agricultural fungicides.
