Photopolymerization kinetics of α-disulfone cationic photoinitiator
摘要:
An alpha-disulfone cationic photoinitiator called 4-tolyl methyl disulfone was synthesized and characterized by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, LCMS, IR and NMR. Eight vinyl ether monomers were chosen to study the kinetics of photopolymerization by real-time infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). It showed that 4-tolyl methyl disulfone was an effective cationic photoinitiator. The rate of polymerization and ultimate conversion increased with increase of 4-tolyl methyl disulfone concentration and light intensity. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A Facile and General Method for the Preparation of α-Disulfones (R1SO2SO2R2) Dialkyl, diaryl and alkyl aryl disulfones are easily prepared by oxidation of N,N′-disulfonylhydrazines with nitric acid. The method is compatible with a wide variety of substituents (R1,R2) on the sulfur atoms.

The invention provides for bifunctional molecules comprising an Usp14 binding partner and a target protein binding partner. A bifunctional molecule according to the invention binds to Usp14 and to the target protein, thereby facilitating degradation of the target protein bound to the target protein binding partner. The invention also provides for use of a bifunctional molecule for preventing or treating disease.
Certain aspects of the invention relate to compounds, compositions and methods that are useful for treating or preventing a disease in a subject by enhancing the degradation of a protein. In other aspects, said compounds can be useful research tools for investigating protein degradation. In other aspects, said compounds are useful research tools for investigating protein function. In certain embodiments, the degraded protein is implicated in a disease or disorder whose pathology is related at least in part to the excessive expression of the protein or the expression of a mutant form of the protein.
