morpholine-4-carbodithioate has been examined as a reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of copper, cobalt, nickel and tellurium after extraction into molten naphthalene. The extracted mixture of metal complex and naphthalene was dissolved in chloroform and the trace amounts of these metals determined spectrophotometrically. Beer’s law holds in the concentration range Cu: 5.0–70.0, Co: 5.0–81
