We describe herein a novel synthesis of various homoallylic nitriles via cobalt-catalyzed hydrocyanation of methylenecyclopropanes. Excellent selectivity, mild reaction conditions, good functional group compatibility, gram-scale reaction, and product transformations demonstrate the power of this protocol.
