Based on a design strategy that has resulted in conjugated energetic materials, 3,3′-((1E,1′E)-(2,4,6-trinitro-1,3-phenylene)bis(ethane-2,1-diyl))bis(2,4,6-trinitrophenol) and its nitrogen-rich salts were obtained and characterized via spectral and elemental analyses.
