PEG-mediated catalyst-free expeditious synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazoles and bis-benzimidazoles under solvent-less conditions

A wide variety of 2-substituted benzimidazoles and bis-benzimidazoles were synthesized in high yields by PEG-mediated catalyst-free synthesis under solvent-less conditions. The products were directly recrystallized from hot methanol. The reaction occurred giving excellent yields with low as well as high molecular weight PEGs.
The present invention relates to substituted purine and 7-deazapurine compounds. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds and methods of treating disorders in which DOT1-mediated protein methylation plays a part, such as cancer and neurological disorders, by administering these compounds and pharmaceutical compositions to subjects in need thereof.

(EN) Boratabenzene cocatalysts, especially novel pentafluorophenyl boratabenzenes, are useful cocatalysts or activators with metallocenes. They are less expensive than prior art activators, are soluble and offer more irreversible reactions. Compositions comprise at least one metallocene catalyst and at least one dihydroboratabenzene or anion thereof. Processes include polymerizations with metallocenes in the presence of boratabenzene cocatalyst and activation process including bulk electrolysis techniques.(FR) Cette invention concerne des cocatalyseurs de boratabenzène, et tout particulièrement des boratabenzènes de pentafluorophényle, qui s'avèrent être des cocatalyseurs ou activateurs utiles avec les métallocènes. Ces cocatalyseurs sont moins coûteux que les activateurs conformes à l'état antérieur de la technique, ils sont solubles et offrent des réactions plus irréversibles. Ces compositions comportent au moins un catalyseur de métallocène et au moins un dihydroboratabenzène ou un anion de celui-ci. L'invention concerne des procédés de polymérisation faisant usage de catalyseurs métallocènes en présence d'un cocatalyseur de boratabenzène ainsi qu'un procédé d'activation tel que les procédés d'électrolyse en vrac.
