  Rhodium(I)‐catalyzed arylative annulation of β‐(phenylethynyl) ketones with arylboronic acids affords 4‐(arylmethylene)tetralin‐1‐ols, treatment of which with Tf2O resulted in a dehydration–aromatization sequence, giving rise to (arylmethyl)naphthalenes. Aromatic compounds with as many as five cycles can be prepared using this method.
