  Oxidation of (cp)2Cr (cp =η5-C5H5) with Me3NO produces a mixture of the previously reported (cp)4Cr4O4 and (cp)4Cr4O3(η2-C5H4); the structure of the latter has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
