Abstract. A series of iron(II) dithiocyanate complexes containing the tripodal ligands L, [Fe(L)(NCS)2] (with L = 6-Me2tmpa, 6-Me2pmea, 6-Me2-Me2uns-penp, 6-Me2-uns-penp, Me2uns-penp, imine-uns-penp and TMG-uns-penp), analogous to the known SCO complex[Fe(tmpa)(NCS)2] were prepared and investigated.
