Enzyme-catalyzed polycondensation for the synthesis of polyester prodrugs of ketoprofen was reported. Lipase acrylic resin from Candida antarctica (CAL-B) was used to synthesize the linear polyesters with pendent ketoprofen groups based on ketoprofen glycerol ester, poly(ethylene glycol), and divinyl sebacate.
