The synthesis and anticonvulsant properties of new N-diethylmalonyl derivatives of nifedipine and other isosteric analogues (7a–7n) were described. Anticonvulsant screening was performed by subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole (scPTZ) and maximal electroshock (MES) induced seizures tests.
