a [Cu(NHC)] (NHC=N‐heterocyclic carbene) catalyst is disclosed for the efficient C−H allylation of polyfluoroarenes using allyl halides in benzene at room temperature. A general and efficient procedure has been described for the synthesis of heterocycle-fused dihydrobenzocyclobutenediones and benzocyclobutenediones by reacting (alk-1-enyl)heterocycles with semisquaric chloride.
