Abstract The reaction of a new ligand based on 4-amino-3-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)-thione (L), namely 5,5′-(1,3-phenylenebis(methylene))bis(sulfanediyl)bis(3-methyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine) (L1), with palladium(II) chloride in a molar ratio of 2:1 in methanol/acetonitrile under reflux conditions led to the complex [Pd(L1)2]Cl2·4CH3CN (1).
