  The new halogenated sulphides of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 to R.sup.8 are identical or different and denote hydrogen or halogen, at least one of the radicals R.sup.1 to R.sup.8 representing halogen, and wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, and/or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 can optionally form an olefinic bond, and A and B are identical or different and denote nitrile, carboxyl, carboxylate or carboxamide, can be prepared by halogenation of bis-(cyanoethyl) sulphide, or by splitting off hydrogen halide from a halogenated bis-(cyanoethyl) sulphide, or by reacting 3-halogeno-acrylonitriles with sulphides. The new compounds can be active compounds in microbicidal agents.
