  Novel glycine derivative having the formula (I): wherein R¹ is a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group; either R² or R³ is a lower alkyl group and the other is hydrogen atom, R⁴ is a protected or nonprotected carboxyl group, Q is a lower alkylene group and m is O or 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are disclosed.
