Group (IV) and (X) metal complexes with ketoiminate ligands are prepared by deprotonation of a ketoimine ligand followed by reaction with the appropriate metal halide. In preferred cases, the compounds are titanium (IV), zirconium (IV) and hafnium (IV), preferred cases, the compounds are titanium (IV), zirconium (IV) and hafnium (IV) complexes with (arylimino-alkyl)-spiro[4,5]decan-6-one ligands.
